Lt BERTHE Nanourou | CADHA General Coordinator

On 27 and 28 July 2017, a workshop was held in Grand Bassam to validate the action plan of the National Committee for Combating Sexual Violence related to Conflict (CNLVSC). This workshop brought together people from mainly :

- The Technical Committee set up by the CNLVSC Expert Pool - Ministry of the Interior and Security; - the National Human Rights Commission of Côte d'Ivoire (CNDHCI); - the Association of Women Lawyers of Ivory Coast (AFJCI); - African Coordination of Human Rights for the Armed Forces (CADHA).

This workshop, to which CADHA was associated, was organized by the CNLVSC, and its main objective was to revise and pre-validate the action plan of the Committee. As for the specific objectives, they consisted of:

- Define the strategic axes of intervention; - Define the key activities; - To elaborate the necessary budget for the implementation of the action plan.

Given the quality of the participants, exchanges and contributions, the workshop actually led to the development of a budgeted action plan and its pre-validation by the Technical Committee.

You have decided to organize Open Days of DH and IHL in the Armed Forces. What justifies this initiative?
